my 365 highlights #3

The last of the chronological tour through my 365 highlights:

Another shot from Wandworth Bridge on Day 260. Glorious colours dancing on the river.

On Day 310 I attended a photography course at Ashton Court; here's my first attempt at a landscape taken using a high f-stop.

I was sitting at the Lounge practising using a low f-stop on Day 313. This photo is a highlight because I feel it was successful depth-of-field-wise and, truth be told, because I knew that Warren would soon be occupying one of those chairs!

Day 317 is another highlight I can't quite explain. I think it's simply because it's striking, contrasting and something in me says yes!

This is just wonderful, yet with a hint of bleakness... Day 331 was a good day.

I wasn't going to include Day 344 but every time I go through the 365 photos it catches my eye ... and I couldn't resist!

my 365 highlights #2

Continuing the chronological meander through my 365 highlights...

I loved and love the way the light was captured on Day 67. It almost looks like a painting.

I decided from the very beginning that I wouldn't post identifiable photos on pleasant places, therefore things like my feet came in very useful! Also, it seems that I quite like photos of my feet, perhaps mostly this one from Day 78.

Clutching at photo-idea-straws in my hotel room on Day 92, I was pleased to capture this shot of me peeking around my camera.

I don't know that I can explain why this photo from Day 93 pleases me so much.... It's just does!

Day 179 was during a few days of self-portrait attempts. I liked that one of my first self-portraits was me and a book - it felt like a capturing of my character not just my appearance.

Whereas Day 184 captured my hair which was looking quite lovely that day!

This is the drawstring channel from the laundry bag I made on Day 198. I really like the folds detail.

my 365 highlights #1

In purely chronological order, here's the first instalment of my 365 highlights...

My new heart cake cases from Day 15... Because they're gorgeous and because this was such a great angle to capture at such an early stage of my photography endeavour.

Standing on Wandsworth Bridge on Day 44... Because it marked a day of great rejoicing in my faithful, wonderful God.
Why Day 50? Simply because it's gorgeous ... the tone of the knitting needles, the sense of direction...

Sitting on a park bench waiting for my friend, confident that I could both be inspired and follow through on that inspiration... And I actually did! Day 57 was a day of feeling great about photography potential.

I just love this boy. Z springs into action on Day 58

You may have noticed (!) that I like reading and I came to really enjoy taking photos inspired or prompted by what I was reading. On Day 63 I captured this lovely moment when the wind came in and swept the paper away, putting the focus on those very upright daisies!

the space between 365 and what's next

Well, 365 is done and I'm preparing for what I hope is coming next. But before that I wanted to take a moment to pause and look back, which means that I have something to ask of you, dear blog readers ... Would you take a moment to look through my photos and let me know what you think? You can respond in the comments or email me (denimtweed@gmail.com) and share the photos that strike you and why. Over the next few days I'm going to post some of my highlights and I'd really like to compile your highlights for a blog post next weekend. Thank you so much for sharing this journey with me - I'm thankful, delighted and very pleased to have been here xx
(I think it's become inbuilt - this need to take a photo and really try to post it before midnight!)
