So, my handbrake failed, my car rolled down a hill and into someone's fence, stopped only by the concrete posts ... hence the smashed up boot. My Christmas day was somewhat taken up with talking to insurance companies, dealing with breakdown cover, crying, thanking God that none of the children were in the garden when my car came plummeting in. So, it's not a great photo but it does illustrate my day! Happy Nativity time, everyone xx

Helen and I went for coffee this morning (well, neither of us drank coffee but you get the idea). The sun was gloriously streaming in and I was enjoying this wall. (Not so much as Helen's company though!)

I went fabric shopping this morning and was very surprised a) not to have to fight my way through other fabric-shoppers (so near to Christmas) and b) to find fabrics I liked. I mentioned how quiet it was and the shop assistant agreed, saying "It's too close to Christmas; people know there's not enough time to make things." Hmm, everyone except me, that is!!

I just got out of my car, turned around, looked up and beheld the moon shrouded behind fast-moving clouds. I haven't decided about this photo - it kinda works, kinda doesn't  - but I really like the idea, I really like the moon and it's really past my bedtime!

Here's what's on my ironing board: templates, fabrics and ribbon. I was very merrily sewing a little something and then, alas, the last part went awry. Exhale. Lament. Rethink.

All that studying was for an appointment with my assessor this afternoon and it went really well. Phew! I'm celebrating with cake!

I was at Jen's and she mentioned wanting a nail in the wall. We had nails, but no hammer. I wondered if she had any shoes that might work... She produced the above. It didn't work.

For some reason, it's become quite hard to find Cream of Tartar. Well, sachets are easy enough to find but enough to make playdough? That's the challenge. So when I came across some earlier, I bought all three on the shelf!
