Day 37
I worked quite hard today. Got lots of important things done. But, all the time I was in the kitchen, I was distracted by the glorious sunshine streaming over the very green grass. There came a point, of course, when I could resist no longer. Jobs coming to a natural pause, I grabbed a cardigan, a blanket, my book and my camera. I don't normally enjoy contemporary fiction, but Natasha Solomons has captured some part of me. I lay on the blanket, ignoring the hedge-shadow creeping ever closer. And, when I couldn't ignore it anymore, sat up on the blanket and wrapped myself in it and I read and read and read.
