Day 23
What I have to say is that wetsuits are incredible! I have wanted to surf for years and today was the day... Having driven down to Croyde Bay, fought my way into a wetsuit and carried my board down to the beach, it was time! So, so good - I loved it even though it was really hard work and I didn't even make it onto my knees, let alone my feet. But, my goodness, my arms, chest and stomach ache!!
Did they have a pink board for you?!

Hmm, the slight disclaimer that I wanted to mention, but felt I'd already talked enough, is that those are not the boards we used. Our boards were all blue (somewhat similar to the present colour of my surfing-incurred bruises!). There was no way I was ever going to let my camera that near the beach!
