Day 365

February 28th, 2014. Day 365. It's the culmination of a whole year's pursuit. I've imagined this day, hoped in many different directions - my 365th photo could capture an adventure ... a purposeful seeking out of a place, an experience, an achievement? Perhaps it could capture something emotionally meaningful ... a person, a relationship, affection, healing? Whatever the idea, I've always imagined me waking today feeling excited and purposeful. Life, it seems, doesn't always correspond with these special events though, does it? I awoke this morning immediately worried - rabbit caught in the headlights - as soon as I remembered what day it was. Because today I feel lost at sea. Not waving but drowning.
In the midst of a dreary, drizzly, foot-aching day, one splash of colour kept catching my attention: my yellow gerberras. So, I bought some more - red, pink and orange - and started snapping away, here enjoying the sense of entwined interweaving with a bottom right-hand-corner splash of red gerberra petal.
