 We did it! The Gromit Trail is complete; after today's 10-hour stint, we've got all 80 Gromits! During the hunt, we popped into this church which was very traditionally Anglican with the addition of these gorgeous shocks of colour. Here's Helen, looking at the prayer requests and thank Yous.

PS - Yesterday's nail varnish was actually blue, not black. Just FYI!

Walking in a pub garden after a lovely meal, I crouched down to photograph some beautiful wild flowers and I was brutally attacked by some stinging nettles! The dock leaf thing really does work, I'm happy to say.

My nail varnishes needed replacing, so here are the new ones. Good job there was one lighter blue (far left), otherwise I might begin to look more patriotic than intended!

I was just looking at Van Gogh's The Starry Night. His paintings make me feel either captivated by how beautiful days could be or unspeakably sad. Bit like life really.

Today I went to Hay-on-Wye, home to many bookshops including the Honesty Bookshop, shame I couldn't find anything I liked!

How lovely to sit with my sister by the sea talking Shakespeare and remembering the DVD versions I so enjoy. Not to mention the drive back, singing along to Return to the Forbidden Planet at the top of my voice - which can go pretty loud! If you've never heard of it, Return to the Forbidden Planet is Shakespeare's 'forgotten rock'n'roll masterpiece'!!

I was inspired by today's coloured water play and set up this water to attempt some kind of re-creation, hopefully to capture some of the food colouring's swirlyness. Alas, when you use red food colouring, it looks disgustingly like blood. So, instead of recreating coloured water, I am reverting back  to unpolluted water!

Finally, I got a chance to pull out this lovely basket and retrieve my darning mushrooms.

Today found us in London - partly on the Gromit search (Gromit at Paddington - tick!), partly sight-seeing. Here's the top of Tower Bridge with, if you look closely, an aeroplane-speck in the sky. (Click on the pic to enlarge if that helps!)
